... and completed in 2007. At the end was an interesting little exhibition outlining how the Sekisho worked. Leading up to the Sekisho is a parade of magnificent Cedar trees, aged over four hundred years old. Before heading back to the warm and dry of our Inn, we visited an old Shinto Shrine with a floating red torii (gate) in Lake Ashi.

Well, we're now back in Tokyo and I think we may weaken and have some "western" food! It's still overcast and probably a day for a bit of ...

8 km walk from walk Magemo to Tsumago.

The guide book and the tourist information centre told me that it would take 3hours to walk it.
However I only had 2, as I got up way to late to actually do this walk. What can I say i did it in 1 1/2 hours :)

Rock'n Roll!!!! found the coolest little coffee shop in Tsumago.

Wasted no time going from the base of Fuji to our first onsen (hot spring baths). The minerals in the water are supposed to do good things for the skin. It felt amazing to rest our muscles and get clean after the trek. Checked into Hakone Suimeiso ryokan, a traditional Japanese guesthouse. This is where you are served a kaiseki meal in your room ...

... t know: I got literally an entire suid, just the eyes taken out. I felt a little helpless but in the end I managed to make it eatable and actually it was quite good!
Finally we went back to the hostel to take our luggage and headed towards the station, where I went to search for the last god (shame on me, I searched for its location in the internet). After I found and took a photo of it I was satisfied and we could go to the station to take the train to our next destination: Kyoto.
