    ... hoping that the sign that advertised the hotel was current, and that the hotel was actually open. The gods smiled upon us. The hotel had once been a mighty resort, though now the rugs and furniture were showing signs of old age.     Tonight was Matilde's class play. They did the Little Mermaid and Matilde played Ursula. Normally, I would probably say that doing a class play of a Disney movie is boring, but I appreciated it because it was nice to know what was going on without having to understand the dialogue.
