... surreptitiously snapped away with their phones and cameras. Really I wanted to too but only snuck a couple of the interior. At least it avoided scenes like yesterday as you can see in the photo, of people photographing the Mona Lisa. A major disappointment for me was that Degas' pastels of dancers were not on show. A few of his oils were but they are not the same. Last time I remember they were in rooms of their own under reduced lighting. Perhaps they just ...

... and a more manageable size. The Tuileries Garden starts by the pyramids and is really beautiful. There are all kinds of things tucked away in here - many fountains with chairs set up all around, sculpture gardens, a trampoline area, a merry-go-round...and right now they're holding what I can only assume is the worlds most expensive carnival, with most games costing 4 euros to play. (Except the longest distance from our apartment to Notre Dame) so we set out taking the metro to Notre Dame. Notre Dame is just like how it is portrayed in the Disney movie. It's big and there are gargoyles on it...No joke. I felt ...

... With the open top bus tours behind us we headed back to the hotel to refresh before heading out for dinner. With so much to choose from we opted for a venue around the corner from the Hotel Brighton for pre-dinner drinks...Cafe Ruc. This little venue with a reasonable drinks and food menu made for a pleasant location as we sipped our wine & cocktails and watched the Parisians scurrying home after a hard days yakka. A small ...
