My last piont of interest was a place called Oasis21. A large oval glass construction, set in the air. Well, it looked huge and impressive in the pictures. Got there and was very disappointed. But the locals are happy, so thats the main thing.

... of sight. It was a funny sight to see them trying to keep up. The train ride to Shin Osaka station took about 30 minutes. We bought some tickets for the airport bus for 500 yen each and took a 35 minute ride to Osaka Itami airport. Shigeyaka had prepared a box for us to take home, some DVD's. Had tea, The 3 of us made a speech in English and Japanese, thanking everyone. Packed ...

... we rode the train. The final leg to Maibara station was about 45 minutes long. As we made our way to the exit, we looked out of the window and we could see Mineko waving at us. Shigeyaka was waiting for us at the exit gates. We were all a little tentative at first, not knowing what to say with our limited ability to communicate in each other's language. However, as it became apparent that we were able to understand much of what was being said to us in Japanese, the barriers seemed ...

... check in, just time to dump our bags & off we went for a walk around the town we went to a museum, a shrine, the Takayama festival float exhibition hall, we then went to the old part of town. We had a beautiful tea not far from there. When we got back from tea we had another spa, getting used to it (in the nude) still lots of laughs. It's now 9.00 and ready for bed. Ran out of battery so no pictures of ...
