... and good views.<br><br>Just a word on environmental issues - China has a reputation for being the Bad Boy of the environment but we have been amazed how conscious they seem to be - it's generally very clean (but they have an army of cleaners), there is good use of low energy light bulbs and in most places they have recycling and non-recyclying bins. The toilets are mostly clean and the people mostly friendly - China has come a long way in 10 years. Apart from the driving.<br><br>

Xiamen recently had the dubious merit of playing host to this event and decided to place it just outside Jimei. As tourist attractions go I think this has to rank as one of the most ridiculous wastes of public money I have seen of late, but it seems pretty popular with the local visitors, and is a source of some pride to them ...
