... was mine. Arrived very early Saturday morning in Yongding. It was really hard to find out much information about Yongding county and the tulous for some reason so I just thought I'd arrive and 'wing it'. I found a bus stop and asked to go to the tulous, this man then took me off to a minibus across the street and I just got off when it looked right. The countryside we went through on the bus ride was fabulous! I already liked it here. Ended up at Hongkeng tulou cluster which ...

... for a bit and as we were heading back to the bus, we saw little sand crabs so we squatted and watched them move around, the beach here has a fair amount of rubbish lying near the waters edge, I wouldn't liked to had swum here! Near the exit to where we had to meet, we bought a sugar donut thing but it wasn't soft, it was like a chorro stick but harder. Back on the bus and this time heading for the pedestrian shopping street, yahoo!! We had 1 hour and 10 minutes ...

Had a lazy day today staying around the Hotel Indigo. We walked down Zhongshan Lu and had lunch at Aijsen Ramen, one of our favourite Japanese restaurant chains. We then wandered back to the hotel and had afternoon tea sitting up in the restaurant area overlooking the harbour and Gulangyu Island, unfortunately not warm or nice enough to sit outside.
