We arrived home last night around 9:00 after a good, if long, flight on Swiss airlines. It was wonderful to set foot again in the US, to feel the coolness of the air in LA after 3 weeks of heat, and to sleep in our comfortable beds again. I am grateful we had this time together with Susi, to do the wonderful things we did in Italy, to be surrounded with ancient beauty at every turn.

... we are parked. Downtown is not very big...the main street is Main Street (go figure) and it is a collection of little shops, galleries, book stores and a lot of second hand stores like Goodwill. We saw a number of homeless people wandering the streets and sleeping in the parks but only a couple of panhandlers.
