During our stay a card was handed to me from housekeeping one afternoon when the lady dropped by to check if we needed anything. The message on the card was meaningful. "40 years… Our guests arrive as residents, leave as friends, and return as family". I smiled and thought how truthful this message is!

We packed up and reluctantly left our bags in a store room next to the reception...hoping for the best! Off we went in search of some old stuff and culture. We found it, eventually. Wandered on through 'Zeus's Temple' then attempted to get into the 'acropolis museum' but our tickets weren't valid for that ...
... outlined the history of Greece and kept us interested the entire day. We drove along the coastal road of the Saronic Gulf, over the canal and onto the Peloponnesian Peninsula.
Myth has it that Perseus built a palace on the Mycenaean Acropolis (akron + polis means "high city"), cleverly protected by the Lion Gate entrance and a maze of streets and blind corners inside. The citadel and town were at their height in about 1350 BC.

... this. It's common sense. I was so disgusted. We saw the national garden next to the Parliament so we went in to have a look, hoping to take some pictures of flowers. Sadly the only flowers you really see are the bed of them at the entrance. We tried looking for more but there wasn't any. The National garden is green everywhere with almost no flowers. There was a few cages with random animals caged inside with very bad living conditions. It ...
