Pokhara, Nepal benandlindsey... and was meant to be a 6-7 hour journey, 11 hours later we got to Kathmandu! However the bus was over crowded as another bus had broken down so there was a group of Canadians who had to sit on the floor. One of them decided to fly back to Kathmandu. The bus blokes went and bought stools for the girls to sit on, however, about 2 hours later we dropped off a group who were off rafting and the girls got seats for the rest of the journey.

The Maoists approx 250 of 601 ...

Pokhara, Nepal chrisandem... back to Pokhara on a jeep which was rammed full of 15 of us for 2 hours then a taxi for 3 hours but really glad to be back in Pokhara for a well deserved rest.

We really enjoyed the trek, it was definitely the most challenging thing we have ever done, especially the day of the pass. We are so proud of ourselves to have done it and we had an amazing time. We met some great people along the way too but it defiantly wasn't easy!

Pokhara, Nepal cazdave2009... to play Spades? Jonathan and I kept losing so bad against them. That was just unbelievable. We spent hours trying to catch up with our score until we figured out that Pemba was cheating. That little monkey knows how to deal cards a certain way so he gets exactly the cards he wants. He's so good at it, it's crazy!!! We had suspicions but we couldn't figure out how he was doing it. I gave him a hard time for being a lama and being a cheater. That just made him laugh!
Pheriche, Nepal bfayolle... for the slightly more temperate Chure Hills. Flowers, although not in abundance at this time of year, were quite a common sight and most households seemed to have small gardens, some of which were very ornamental and pretty.

After our travels in northern India, Nepal seemed to us much cleaner and brighter.
