New Concord Inn Wisconsin Dells

We had a good time at The Wilderness resort. However, their customer service sucks! I found out later that is was not just us. Some other people we know went there about a month later and had the same poor customer service experience.

We enjoyed the indoor water parks and laser tag. Later that night we went to Ho Chunck Casion and had a little fun on the slot machines.

... final this weekend and hopefully a meat pie, all this footy is making us a little homesick. We’ve really enjoyed our quick glimpse of Wisconsin and are looking forward to heading south to where it is warmer, although we had some pretty great weather in Wisconsin, it only started raining the day we left!

Today we went to the Wisconsin Dells on a Duck ride.
These old vehicles were used in World War 2 to land the troops in the Normandy and also in the Vietnam war.
As a tourist attraction someone had the idea to take these boats or whatever for tours on and around the Wisconsin River.
My mum, step dad, and me enjoied a nice ride through different territories and over the Wisconsin River. Very nice country side.

It is amazing how friendly and helpful people become when you explain that you are living on the road, or they ask where home is and you point over your shoulder at the 8' x 20' box you are pulling down the highway.

... spoke to the nice Polish man (rich Polish man), who owns the RV park where we're staying along with hotel, motel, theme park, and half the street by the looks of it. Been in the U.S. for 38 years, and started his business from nothing. As he said, when you have the time, you don't have the money, and when you have the money, you don't have the time.... mmm... food for thought. Today was a nothing day - just a catch up on things and blob day ...

... disappointed that we could not find a Diner downtown and had to opt for a local Coffee House instead, even worse, they had no Hash Browns! The one good thing was that we met a couple of lads from Leeds who were travelling East to West across the USA, so we were able to fill them in on all the places Dudes should aim for - in other words, everywhere we had been! They were travelling in an old van and camping along ...

... TSA wants you to do..It may work here, but when i get to Japan or China they have very different rules. Sometimes I think they change the rules just because I am an American. So I am trying this new travel blog thing.... its kind of cool, this way you can see where I have been. Well Toodles for now, Ill be back in touch soon!

We arrived... got drinks... set up the tents while drinking... pretty happy before 5pm... oh no... no wood for the bonfire... went to gas station.. bought marshmellows, more drinks, snacks, hot dogs... walked out and noticed big pile of firewood... oops... guess we should get some of that too...

... to the shear cliffs that were a haven to many rock climbers who we met along the way. Many were older than us. The rock formations and views here were incredible. We took a boat tour through the Upper Dells where the Wisconsin River winds through sandstone cliffs and rock formations. Over the years, the Wisconsin Dells has become quite the resort town, but we passed up the water parks and mini golf.

... off at the 'Exploratorium.' I went to work out while they were there. After I picked them up I told the boys we could go race go carts at one of the many tracks here.(this place is like Gatlinburg, TN) So, we went to a place called, 'Knuckleheads,' where the boys got to play some video games and drive go carts.
