... but the dock was a
great place to elude them. We dined out most nights and picked up a
couple of canoe paddles of the bent variety that my prior research
said would reduce paddling effort by at least ten percent although
they are not the best for ferrying in whitewater. We are looking
forward to getting them wet. Great to see Ron & ...

Maura and I were lucky to score a room at the Great Northern Motel since the town was crammed with bikers and fishermen for the weekend. My long, hot shower washed away the bugs and rejuvenated me in time to relax with Maura in the hotel's grand sun room. Our view overlooked one of Mercer's many loony lakes.

Chuck wanted to see his Uncle Ron and he was going to be at his cabin on Lake Muskelunge. We had no idea where it was or the address but we used the iPad and drove around until we found a sign by the road. So, we surprised them. Had a great Wisconsin dinner with Brats, burgers and fresh apple pie. It was great to see them!
