      ... too big to jump so you just walk through – soaking feet. The last annoyance are the crazy Chinese drivers, especially the taxi drivers, who never slow down and in the rainy conditions, that means a spray or a wall of water as they plow through the water welled up against the curbs – wet everything.

      ... in a small studio with AC, not that that made much of a difference, and there were 14 women & 1 man, the instructor’s husband. It was a solid hour of fast moving to mostly Brazilian music since most of the ladies are Brazilians (husbands own or manage shoe factories) I’m proud to say I survived, but it wasn’t pretty.       ... language. We headed off south to Dagang, which is about 40min drive from school.

      There were around 20 families expected, and the students ranged in age from 3 - 15 years.

      My job was to read them a story as they arrived, and keep them occupied till everyone was there, then we went round the animal farm area together, gave them a resource gift, had lunch and came home! Not too strenuous....

      ... this time, so I could learn how it's done. The goal was to visit the Ikea store which we did and it was another eye-opening experience - the people. The other teachers are staying long term and it's the best place to get furniture. I got some kitchen stuff I was missing, namely a potato masher - extremely rare here and a garlic press. That trip turned into an 8 hour venture, but made it back safe and sound. Tim went for a long run ...
