Spain and Dali Museum (Tim)
We left Carcassonne and set off back towards Montpellier then south to Spain. Another "decathlon" stop en-route as we are running short on gas and decided to buy another portable gas cooker. Its only about an hour to the spanish border but a beautiful drive. It still amazed me that you can just drive across Europe now without any passport control - I remember being detained for some time as a student ...
Tan top up (or going lobster in my case...)

back out to take the horses for a walk. It is always entertaining watching tiny
kids horse riding, a look of horror plastered on their face and holding on so

Wen you do get a chance, not a bad view. Plenty of vineyards with old small stone shacks, quaint. Heading to Perpignan so we can drop the car off and catch the train to ...
Perpignan & Collioure - Catalan delights
... local bus into Perpignan. This is more like it and we enjoy strolling the town looking at the shops and we sit outside the small Brasserie Mallasis and have a café. It is very hot and my head is already changing from it’s usual Northern paleness to a lovely bright shade of red. The chef owner comes out to take in the air and having seen me comes over and places his chefs hat on me saying ‘oh monsieur, le rouge tete!’. We start to see the point of being here and suddenly ...
