So the workers are all extremely afraid for their jobs all the time, but they will not do anything extra to make themselves more valuable, because no one told them too. Your position is determined by the wealth your family. So in the end their is no loyalty between the workers and the leaders ...

Business

Enjoyed our meetings and colleagues. Went to dinner at a typical Guangdong/Canton restaurant. Menu was very creative. Plenty of exotics - baby pigeon, sting ray, fish guts, beetles, snakes, chicken feet. Was a bit naseous, but likely because of jet lag.

As she was too busy to go to the station herself she asked one of her students to grab her a ticket when she got hers. Unfortunately for Luo Wei the student got her a ticket on a train beginning ...

... as opposed to their floor model. The one bag I did see that I liked, was a Celine bag. I didn't price it there, but when i looked in Hong Kong, they were selling it for HKD4500!!! We then got a cab and got back her place as soon as possible, so that I could pack and get to the train station with almost no time to spare! I took the 8:13pm train and arrived in Hong Kong less than 2 hours later. At that time of day, getting through ...

My first days in China

... and bad Travis selfishly took his to keep himself dry. We got the bus downtown and met, Sonny, the other CIW assistant at the KFC in downtown ZC. The KFCs are very nice-very upscale here. The McDonalds are 3 stories high but not as classy as KFC. We trundled off to the bank where Sonny graciously navigated the labyrinth of bureaucracy to open my account while I signed where she said. She also fussed about Travis and the umbrella-clearly leaving his aged mother with none was VERY BAD!!!
