... English Father Christmas! On Christmas Eve Ms Liang made a special Christmas dinner, a mixture of Chinese food and burgers and sausages! I enjoyed it :-) Then we opened our presents after dinner, which was really nice. We all received a pair of gloves! Serena is only usually allowed to watch 'TV' (Ipad/laptop/DVD) on the weekends, but as it was Christmas, she was allowed to watch something. I had downloaded Home Alone 2, so ...

She then said "ok, what else?" and we said "we eat, drink, chat, there's music playing". "Ok, what else? What do the kids do?" We said they just run around, or keep themselves entertained. It was all very nice, but just grey and cold, and lots of cold, grey walls, bricks, cement. We left Yangzhou at 4.30pm and said goodbye to Ms Liang's Beijing friends. They were really nice people and said I was welcome in Beijing. It was a 4 hour drive back to Jiashan and we were all tired by the time we got back. It was a good weekend.

... gave speeches, including "the modern day Marco Polo" (ask a Chinese person to say Marco Polo it's really funny) who spoke fluent Mandarin and sounded like a Chinese peson. "I've been in HZ for a few weeks,"he said, "and I think it is just beautiful and the most beautiful place in China" - everyone clapped.

What is it with HZ being beautiful!? Are these people blind?! What do they see when they walk down Tianmushan Road?! "Oh but that's just a road" (a response when ...
