recognised myself. I had tape on my eyelids (god knows why) and false eyelashes, plus a

On Sunday we went to Shanghai as usual. I met with a friend of Ms Liang’s

... course. I got back to Jiashan after 5pm, and my host family came to pick me up from the station. Ms Liang said to me "Today I'm lucky, as I don't have to cook dinner. We are going to eat at a friend's house". I asked what time Serena's Christmas party was starting, she said 7pm and that we would be back in time. ... for this favour, we have to sing a Christmas song for our host families and children. Total cringe. We should also be grateful it's only a song we have to sing and not a nativity scene we have to act out. For God's sake. Because they couldn't just have a party where people turn up, chat, eat food, could they? There has to be a point to everything. There has to be a program, we have to play games with the kids, we have to sing a song just au pairs, and then 1 with our host children. ...

... one in China. As the night went on the businessmen got drunker. The night ended with some rather drunken KTV with a couple of songs for the sober women, and an English song (Thank You by Dido, which I've been teaching to Ms Liang and Serena!) for me.

Once back in the hotel and with everyone going to bed, I decided to go for a walk with my newfound freedom :) I was looking for some chocolate, but actually couldn't find any so ...
