... most popular place to shop is K-Mart. You have never experienced a K-Mart like Guam because it is on the tourist run and has its own shuttles bringing in tourists and shoppers. There are some hotels that pick up their guests at the airport and stop at the K-mart on the way to the hotel. The store is open 24 hours a day and it is never less than throbbing with people and heaving with customers trying to find bargains ...

... a big headache and my head is so stuffy; I feel extreme pressure in my right ear. I hope I’m not majorly sick. Hopefully some good sleep will cure this. Bed at 10:00.
The plan is to be here in Guam for just this one night and continue on to Manila tomorrow evening. I might end up spending another night here, however, if I can’t get on the flight tomorrow. Today was the first of another five days at sea before we get to Guam, over 2000 miles! During the day, we will be setting a north-easterly course across the Coral Sea towards the many small islands at the eastern end of Papua New Guinea.
