    ... light show at night.

Kyoto is the ancient capital of Japan and a long history with the samurai and Shogun which kept the country isolated until the 1860s. It's also known for its geisha, or geikos, as the ladies are proudly called here. Tim was quick enough to get a picture of one during our walking tour one evening. We took another walking tour (5 hours!) through different neighbourhoods and got a ...

The traffic has been terrible because of this - one of the joys of not owning a car here. :) We walked over Thursday evening to have a gander and it was a jaw dropper. This was kind of an early morning we had to be up and out for the tour Billy booked at 9:30. We had a lovely breakfast in the hotel then meet up with our tour guide Jeanette. We also tried some sugar cane juice which i though was nice but Kirstie was not so keen ...

This was a very long day which started quite late due to the previous late night at the casinos. We had to get through immigration which took forever and then get the train to guangzhou which took a couple of hours. We eventually arrived at our hotel around 10pm which was again booked by Billy and again was lovely, we had a lil drink on the roof top bar ten went to ...

... Yesterday he also had a soccer tournament of sorts. There were supposed to play 3 games but the last was called because of lightening. the first one they lost 6-1 but the second one was against QSI's enemy ( a long nasty story there) and Tim's team beat them 6-0. he became an instant sensation!
We start our first standardized tests tomorrow...
I'll attach some pictures from the banquet.
    Take care,
    Helen & Tim
