... On Fri I didn't have to be at school until the evening, so we went in and had a look round the Chen Clan Academy which really impressed me on my first visit. There was a man doing traditional style painting on special paper, and he was keen for us to have a go, using all his English words to tell us so! In 1 class we are doing a unit called 'Let's take a photo' and the lesson plan said to show them some photos. I didn't have my USB with family photos with me that day, so decided I would take pictures of the kids instead to reinforce the vocabulary.

... I will tell them stories, and I will play games with them. I will also tell them my experience in America. Like these children, I do not see my parents for a year or two, and I have to face the difficulties myself. I will tell them how I resolve the struggle alone. Through my experience, I want to tell them that they can find hope and future through studying and hardworking.
