We were invited out with some of the staff on Tuesday night to Laowi Town to a quiz night which was good fun. We then met Silvie, the CP at Munchner Biergarten, the German bar on Wednesday and the Italian restaurant Thursday evenings.

Ningbo is a lovely city, built on 5 rivers, so was a trading post and from the hotel room you can watch the barges go up and down the river. There are loads of fantastic bars and restaurants and it is now quite trendy.

I don’t think that I can even speak for that long let alone explain what I’m saying. My host mom tried to take away my free Monday next week and tried to replace ...

... first thing she said to me when she walked in was that she was so embarrassed because she had no makeup on. She was probably the fakest person that I’ve ever met, and I could see my friend struggling to not punch her. After I left that home I realized that my situation could be a lot worse. I could be living in my city of choice with a horrible family and being just as angry. There will always be something bigger, better, and newer but this shouldn’t take ...

... there. The family told me that they’d take me to Walmart one day. Being from Brooklyn, I’ve never actually been in a Walmart but hey, why not give it a go in China right? We drove around and stopped at this outdoor café overlooking the water. We drank lemon tea and I felt much better than I had for the past few days. I thought, I could come here during my down time and find stuff to do and find people to talk to. Things were looking up! After going to a bookstore to ...
