... we boarded the Tokaido line train for Shimbashi, there was an announcement and most of the people got off the train. Owen had to find out from the driver what had happened. Apparently, some one was injured on the line down the track and the train was not going to Shimbashi. We had to change to the Yamanote line. Final preps done and just relaxing today. Marc giving his last seminar. They are giving us a goodbye party this evening and heading home tomorrow. What a summer it has been and life changing too. Making last minute preps for trip home. Organizing, laundry, extra food, etc. We are going to Tokyo tomorrow to Art Museum which has antiques and artifacts from region. We are also meeting with our dear friend Kazu's two daughters which we have not seen in 16 eyars. Last time we saw them they were in their teens and now beautiful young women. We can't wait to see them. I went to 7 eleven for my favorite, Sushi (I will definately miss the Sushi!!) The bugs on the trees make a noise ...
... succeeded. I dabbled in the reading of a novel, wrote a sporadic diary in Japanese, and watched HOURS upon HOURS of Japanese TV shows. I spent a lot of time with my old host family, where we chatted and watched even more television. I branched out and joined the Uni sign language club (Japanese sign language of course), in the hope that it would enable me to make some local friends.
