... Kuala Lumpur by 2pm... Hopefully. It was sad to say goodbye to them and to Kenji and Deb. Who knows when I'll see them again? Well... Now I have a week volunteering in KL. I've no idea what I'll be doing but I'm sure I'll be updating again really soon. Its been so nice not feeling so alone for a while. Being sick and tired of course heightens them feelings but I can safely say my faith has been restored in Malaysia as a good place to visit. On that note I'll say bye for now. ...

... again. Into a ridiculously expensive guest house full of Dutch and possibly Scandinavian hippies, the ones with the money, and we're the only Brits and the only ones over 25. But hey, I'm only just over 25. /Denial.

The climate, altitude and scenery all changed at once. Like a nice English summers day, no oppressive heat, just right and...breathe. They grow tea here. And tomorrow we are off to see just how and where. It's quite beautiful.

... On my way out to breakfast I literally stumbled upon a procession which was occurring down the main street near my hotel. Earlier I had heard drumming but made nothing of it but what was happening was this parade to celebrate the 9 Emperor God festival. Now I had heard about this when I was back in Penang as it started on the day I went to one of the Buddhist Temples and had heard the Chinese locals talk about the 9 days of rain starting Wednesday and finishing on ...

... at 2040 metres. We started the day by walking 5km to Brinchang to grab some supplies and start the hike. The hiking trail started just outside of town and was a 3km hike up the mountainside. After a muddy climb we made it to the peak where we took a rest and had a small snack. There is a watchtower at the peak that can be climbed for a panoramic view of the highlands. The view was beautiful! The clouds covered the side of the mountain ...

... have been nice to do that too, so I'm gonna remember that for a new trip!

After the cave I drove to the centre of Ipoh. There I booked this really nice hotel, very new and just wonderful. I found it was close to a huge Tesco, so I wandered around the Tesco for a while and found some things I ate, just because I could ;)

Ow and I am very far with finishing my album already... So that's good news too :D
