Hong Kong, China ilariShanghai and Hong Kong are two very different cities. The latter is a world away from the madness of Shanghai. It is so much more civilised and developed.
After 100 years of British rule, there is a distinct western look and feel to the city, despite it now being controlled by China. At first it's surreal when you arrive in Hong Kong because of the heavy British influence: vehicles drive on the left; signs, road ...
... for christmas instead I will be staying here and doing a chinesse christmas, I dont really have any plans at the moment as to what I am doing but I am sure something will come up. I have got a few partys lined up already for work and football etc which will be good.

The next day we head down to Dim Sum, Adams little hideaway and go to Discovery Bay to get in a ride on a boat and see another side of HK. After final goodbye's to the Bantocks. We head off and get a good night's sleep in before the 30+ hour cross land trip from HK to Hanoi, Vietnam.
See you in Sydney Bano.

The basic points of interest were the various snuff items that were being smuggled into Hong Kong through the ages, from opium apparatus back in the good old colonial days to LPs in the 60s and counterfeit or poorly made toys nowadays. There was also a little photo-taking going on as the various participating members of the customs police, dressed in uniforms from different periods, gathered ...

Hong Kong, China nax... over Hong Kong’s brightly lit towers. This was the most spectacular display of light pollution I’ve ever seen, and I was awed by it. Instead of seeing the stars in the sky, civilization had created its own kind of magic.
After the cameraman shooed me away from blocking his view, we walked back into the mall and took the escalators down. At the bottom level we came across ANOTHER mall, and I thought ...
... uncompromisingly good foresight to not bring a swimsuit nor towel, so Liz sunbathed in her bra and I just wore my shorts. It was the first time in HK we actually saw real sunlight, which although it's hard to believe, was really a highlight thusfar. There were a lot of sissy British kids running around town which annoyed me. But I found a cool staircase that led to a lookout point. Unbeknown to me ...

... of coffee shops, bistros, bars (thus my liking!! J ) and a bargaining Chinese market both stuff and food. Soho-HK market is located in the bottom a hill and the top of the hill is full of very high rise residential buildings.. but I'm talking hundreds of them. I found lots of so called "westerners" living there . Many very good looking btw J. If you were to go up hill from the financial area underneath of soho to the residential ...
