... We opted to stay in the backpackers haven near Khao San Road because of the cheap rooms. We got the skytrain and a taxi from the airport to our hotel, the Wild Orchid. We spent the night here and although it was lovely we decided to move across the road to a cheaper but similarly nice guesthouse the next morning. Anyways, we finally making it to the Grand Palace. We were told to go after 1:30 PM because that is when they finish there prayer. We then paid the driver and went on our way to the Grand Palace. However, when walking towards the Grand Palace, they told us it was closed until 3:00 PM. We were confused being that we thought it opened at 1:30 PM. I know, I know! Junk food! Better that than nothing though! Michel was more adventurous than me and ate more of a variety of food with meat. At least, in addition to my lunch I had colorful desserts to choose from and fresh fruits to devour! Yummy!
