    ... was a very pleasant spot that lived up to its name. There was a great pool area and a very large bonsai section with some VERY old trees - all very beautifully trimmed. Billy again ordered us a great selection of food at one of our designated included meals. Once again, we were pushing to get through the great range of dishes.     Met after breakfast with Billy and driver to take us to Zhouzhuang Water Town. The driving certainly has us holding our breath at times as we seem to slip into non-existent spaces between vehicles (or other cars, bikes, trucks, etc seem to miraculously avoid collecting us as they merge into ourline of traffic from almost any direction). There are road laws, but they don't seem to apply to bikes or the numerous electric motor scooters that choose to cross ...

    ... back whilst someone else did all the work but in the end he really enjoyed it and now he has practical imperialist empathy for the rickshaw drivers rather than imagined. We had a boat trip on the Grand Canal and visited another Scholar's garden within which I stick like glue to Mike for obvious reasons!     ... to convey our concern to the front desk brought us a great deal of enjoyment.

    We enjoyed our last dinner at the hotel in Kunshan (no dumplings though :( )

    Our Chinese friends took us to a rock music club to celebrate our last night.

    It was really empty when we got there at 7:30, but after about half an hour it was packed.

    The band went on at 9:30 and the singer joked about never performing for this many foreigners.

    ... turtles and large fish swim right over your head. The aquarium is located very close to the famous Oriental Pearl tower, so from there we just wandered along, checking out the tall famous buildings and the famous skyline along the river. We took the ferry across the river to the Bund. The ferry is only 2 yuan per person, and it used to be local transportation for bikes and cars but now it ferries packs of tourists back and forth.
