Chicken Busin' on the Yellow River + Beijing
... all the way back to Jinan, to get us back in time for our imaginary train to Beijing. But it was great; they took a scenic road that doubled as a dike to keep back the ever flooding Yellow River. So the trip back was very nice, and I ended up napping part of it.

Conquering the Holiest Mountain in China
... That evening we had the most delicious meal of the trip, a 5 rmb (80 cents/ 50p) Tai'an pancake that consisted of veggies, tofu and egg fried and wrapped up like a burrito. What made it so incredible though was the flavour of the spices added. They tasted almost middle eastern, a wonderful change from the usual Chinese spices.

Fluctuation Situation

I would absolutely recommend against buying a phone without some one with you who has at least passable Chinese, and never ever get pressured into buying something. If you don't want it just walk away, no apologies, don't let them draw you back. There are 1.3 billion fish in the sea over here, and some hard work looking for the right deal will always pay off.
