... memorable were the Imperial Palace, Sisi's museum & St. Stephens Cathedral. The story of Sisi (Elizabeth, empress of Austria) is quite fascinating, I would encourage you to google her & read about her life.

Today we took the train from Vienna to Kitzbuhel. We had to transfer trains in Worgl, & expected to have 16 mins to make the connections. Well ...

It was full of Austrians and they seem to be enjoying themselves. The meal was okay – I had fish but as you can tell it wasn’t outstanding. Doesn’t matter. Back in the room for planning for tomorrow and it doesn’t seem that noisy after all thank goodness.

... hit his hat a few times. Children began working in the mines at age 11. The working conditions were terrible and the average age of death was 35 years when the average for the whole population was over 50. For a long time this mine provided over 80% of the silver in the world, at least until silver started being mined in the New World. The tour lasted about an hour and a half and because we were going downhill on the way out we went ...
