... k out and was clear sailing after that. We headed to Prien to see the last of king Ludwigs palaces. He built this on an island. We took a ferry to the island and spent a few hours doing the tour. Someone stole my umbrella from the storage area! The palace was only partially finished and what was completed was extremely ornate. ... a couple of kilometers and very scenic. She also said it should only take us about an hour to walk around the water and it was a great place to picnic.

Great…okay, we like picnics and easy(ish) hikes so we went for it. When we arrived by car, we opted to just leave our picnic lunch in the cooler in the car and do the hike and come back for lunch. Sure we were hungry, but hey, we could wait an hour and do the hike first…
