      The boys headed on to Patong early to organise a spot at the Aussie Bar Bangla Rd to watch the footy. Karin and I set off on the 10am shuttle for more shopping. Think we did some good bartering- the prices seemed ok. Then joined the boys at the bar. Hundreds of Aussies thinking the same. Game was good - Duncan follows Hawthorn - and they thrashed Swans.       ... take us to the next beach. We got to the next beach and were dropped off. The beach was beautiful and there were shops to rent surf boards and advertising for a surf festival which happened in August but again today there was no surf.       ... to be mentioned that the food was also served on exquisite china dishes and silverware. The Thai sea bass filet with scratch potatoes and a champagne sauce with a salty crust was very well done and not overcooked.

      The chef prepared for my birthday a chocolate cake with exotic fruit coulis, lemon cake by his own recipe, coconut cookies and a little glass with pineapple-coconut-milk cream. On top of the cake, of course, was my little birthday candle. ...
