500 miles drive back to Calais today......
Left the site at Issoire at 7 and left the motorway north of Orleans at 10:30. Bit more traffic and the detour around Rouen but we got to the site at Calais after a lunch stop and a coffee break for 4:00. Little tent up in 20 mins, quick beer then off to the new pool for a dip then curry for tea. ...

Omelette and frites for tea washes down with Organic Cotes du Rhone at £2:50 a bottle from ...

... busy. The Tour de France had come through the day before and there had been a lot of camping cars on site.
After a short rest, we all walked in to look around the town. Brenda and Alex had been before but twenty years ago! Each time we come we see a difference. Some places closed but new businesses opened up. Still more new builds but a lot of houses being renovated as well.
We decided to go into the market tomorrow to see what we could buy for ...

... soon! What a sweet and caring family I have both in France and the USA.

Today I am thankful for my loving family!!!

PS we are headed back to Paris sometime tomorrow afternoon and I'm looking forward to doing some downtown sight seeing, visiting with my cousin Elise and catching up in sleep! I definitely feel like sleep is a luxury only afforded to those who's family members all live in the same time ...
