Had dinner at the restaurant attached to the hotel , rillette ,calamari , followed by chicken and a prune tart to follow . 20 September Today was supposed to be an easy day looking at little villages and not much motoring ,oops ! 500 miles drive back to Calais today......
Left the site at Issoire at 7 and left the motorway north of Orleans at 10:30. Bit more traffic and the detour around Rouen but we got to the site at Calais after a lunch stop and a coffee break for 4:00. Little tent up in 20 mins, quick beer then off to the new pool for a dip then curry for tea. ...

We were offered an early train so took it and ended up in Calais at 4:00. 30 mins drive to our fave little site in Licques. Omelette and frites for tea washes down with Organic Cotes du Rhone at £2:50 a bottle from ...

It was drizzling with misty rain as we set off. It is only about a 20 min walk into the town and we soon came across the market. We parted company with our friends, so that we could all do our own thing and we enjoyed looking at all the ...

... to go to get to Le Touquet, but because we had stayed off the motorway, we went through some lovely villages. As a result of turning off to a Patisserie, which was in fact shut, we ended up finding a Lidl and diving in for provisions which we ate in their car park, in our vans of course!
We eventually got to Camping Stoneham in Le Touquet about 5 mins before the Office opened for the afternoon. We had already reserved 2 pitches luckily, because they ...
