      A walk on the beach

We arrived, with Amy, in Gdansk on Friday evening. The hostel Amy had booked was easy to find, near the river, in the historic Main Town. Yesterday we walked down the river, towards lots of shipping cranes, to a huge building made of rusty steel plate, and the monument to the dockworkers killed in the strike in 1970. We turned away from the river and visited an old set of fortifications, which seemed to have seen a lot of sieges over the years. Sadly, ...

... get to Stansted is to buy your tickets really early via easybus.co.uk. Tickets are as low as £2! 9AM : Reached the airport a bit too early, got my Polish Zlotys as a very good rate of 5.45 when it's like 5.2+ outside. (It's 4.72 if I didn't order online wtf) It was really convenient, I just placed an order online on moneycorp & then paid & collected my Zlotys at the counter. The rate went up apparently but they gave me ...

It is simply stunning and well worth a visit if you are looking for a good value break. We arrived at Gdansk Glowny (the main) railway station ...

It was a glorious morning. Bright, warm, still. Lovely. We celebrated by having a bacon & egg breakfast then I wrestled with the folding bikes, extricating them from out of the starboard cabin where they live most of the time (ie when we don't have guests) and getting them onto the pontoon and ready for use. The purpose of this endeavour was to facilitate our exploration of the Slowinski National Park. The Park was about 2 miles away and it extends ...

We decided that we would spend the weekend here in Łeba, which meant that we could have a lie in. Sadly, I was awake by 06:00 (my usual time or earlier when I'm on the boat) and even more sadly, I decided that as I was awake, so should Julie be and it would make sense to grab the one washing machine before the crowds got going, so the bed was stripped and the sheets put in to wash. In fact, by 10:00 ...
