We knew we had a 700 mile plus day ahead so we left Denver in the dark, just before 6am to beat the rush hour ("Colorful Colorado" wasn't very colorful). It was a little cool (around 50), misty and very windy. Daylight came around 7 but I don't think we saw the sun till after 2. Just damp and misty with a strong head wind (in our face) for ...

... architectural styles popular in the late 1800's.  Many of the homes and buildings were constructed with Carthage limestone, a white, very *********e found in this area.  The town has published an historic homes tour which was very helpful. The photos will show buoys attached to underwater frames and we assume that's to guide the scuba divers. I didn't see any marine life in the water, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist in the deep water. The hole itself is 60' wide.... ...

... 84 hand-painted Biblical murals and 30 Bible stories in stained glass. The elevation where we're staying is 1,433 feet, and high temperatures have been in the low-90's, lows in the mid-70's, and sunny. It's still VERY HOT and we're starting to whine about it -- hopefully, as we travel east it'll cool down a bit. Tomorrow we leave for Branson, MO, and plan to enjoy some of the shows that Branson is famous ...
