An interesting day today. Started with the biggest rocking chair ever, then a number of old towns, cafes, trading posts and diners. Visited Red Oak 2 which is a collection of old buildings brought together a bit like St Fagans. Found a Box Turtle on the road -these have a hinged carapace at front and back which means its head and feet can be completely enclosed. Had a Mexican meal tonight but not sure ...
The grandkids have been practicing and started the morning with the song: “Jesus Loves Me.”
I had Maddie in my lap for almost the entire service and Bradley and Sadie next to me at different times today.
After church, we returned to the house where the kids settled down for a movie and some rest.

I decided to make it an early night tonight because we have a long day with 3 games tomorrow and the first is at 9. We will be packing everyone up by 8:30 so it will be and early start to get everyone up, dressed, fed and ready to go.
The great thing about being the grandpa is that I can leave all that up to the parents and just show up in time to hug my grandkids and sort out who gets to ride with me first. ...
