... yummy looking snacks so on the way down had to buy some to try. First was a giant rice cracker with black sesame, very nice. Next were some steamed buns, similar to Chinese style but a bit flatter. I had a red bean paste one and an eggplant and Scott had a red bean paste and a vegetable. They were delicious. Further down the road we got a whiff of a yummy smelling smell and found a bakery and had to try an apple pie. Lost ...

... next to a group of them, they just looked at me and looked away and kept doing what they wanted. I had always wanted to see them with the icicles hanging off their faces and managed to get a photo one who had them, gorgeous. It's quite eerie walking the streets with minimal shops open and no one around. We figure everyone must be at work or school. Tasted lots of different sake at a distillery which also hosted some interesting art work. This afternoon some cheeky snow monkeys were Playing outside our window. ...

Yesterday we woke to ridiculous amounts of snow and it didn't let up all day. We opened the blinds to see only snow, the snow had reached Over the first floor of the building overnight and our view was covered in snow. We hit the slopes seeking out the ungroomed runs. The first run for the day was thigh deep powder with huge face shots of powder on the way down. Anything off the side of the runs was ...
