Christine and Caleb pretty much bypassed our included breakfast today. As I was paying the bill we were informed that our 5PM ferry had been cancelled - oh, were you not notified. For the love of Jesus. Turns out there was actually a call for some bs weather so cruise boats were diverted to Noumea and our ferry cancelled. Somehow they did not get that message to us. Others had received a message and all of the spots on the 30 minute flight back to Noumea were ...

A little breakfast and a half of World Cup soccer, Caleb and I were ready for the beach and the ultimate sand castle bases. All went according to plan except Mother Nature showed her true colors and ended up destroying our bases. We did not give up - well I did after the fourth rebuild. I went for a walk around the bay today and found myself on a deserted path. I did wonder if it was a good idea to continue so I considered taking a seat at ...

We rented a car for the full day...BUT...Caleb then noticed at breakfast that the TV was showingWomen's World Cup Soccer action. Canada played at 10:30AM our time so...we simply drove to the main 'village' on the island and...tried to find a 'village' but found more of a single street with a building here and there only. Driving back on the right hand side did not go that well, I was now messing up the wipers and the signals ...

We were up and out early today as the rains were said to be coming by early afternoon. The highest point of the island was near our place so we went for a hike. Once we got out into the open the track was rocky and steep but the views began to get better and better. The wind was non-existent on the side of the mountain we climbed up making it for a hot trek. Christine was being extra careful with her bandaged up ankle. We eventual made it to the top just after a ...

Last night the captain said he would try to dock (release tenders) again at Mare as it was on the way home. A huge cheer went up from everyone and the captain just elevated himself to hero status.

Sure enough, Mare was millpond calm with beautiful blue skies and the ...
