If visiting China for the first time, there may be things that can be a bit shocking if you aren't use to it or have experienced it before. Here is a list of some things I came across that others might like to know before arriving. I am sure there is a lot more that could be added to this list, but at the moment is what I could think of. In no particular order: - Toilet Paper - always carry it with you as literally no places other than your hotel will have it - Squatter toilets - ...

To this point I have spent almost two and a half months in China during my travels. I have been across the Silk Road in the North, two weeks in Yunnan province, and the rest in other various places in southern China. I have seen and done many amazing things. The city is known for various ways of using bean ...

... that close during the day to compensate for local time versus Beijing time. I arrived at Kashgar airport around 9:00 am and I just got in the check-in line before a tour group. It was nice that I didn't have to wait long to check-in and then as an added bonus, my luggage was checked right through to Guiyang so I didn't have to deal with picking it up and checking it in again. Although the screen never showed a delay, the flight from Kashgar to Urumqi was about 35 minutes late ...

After our morning routine, breakfast, exercises and briefing, we head out to see a dance performance at in the Laysan tribe at Lang Tek Sang Cai. After lunch we visit the 600 year old Buddhist temple Cen Yuen Tze in Tang Village. We stay in this old city for dinner and see some sellers making peanut candy. Tonight we sleep in Tong Ren.
