It was a lot to take in at the same time so I will move on to my first night at the house of my new host family in Courcouronnes, around 25 minutes from Paris by car. A Croque Madame ( toasted cheese and ham sandwich with an egg on top) ...

The Latin district is full of small streets with creperies and a wide variety of foods on offer. We were up for something a bit different to French food and baguettes so we settled for some greek!! Mm

The rain continued and after exploring a little we decided to head back to the hotel except the map we had was quite vague in that ...

... We came out of the delicious shop with a box of 6 macaroons that we each chose. After that we went to go find the Seine (main river in France). While we were there we saw the Eiffel Tower, and so we followed it past lots of shops to the spot. We stayed there for ages and took probably 500 pictures. After we could no longer stand as our grey were so sore, we went to the metro and caught the train home. I am so tired now. If I had to summarise Paris in one word, it would be ...
