Nemours Paris

I should probably watch that movie before I go around quoting it in blog titles. Anyway.
There are two stereotypes about Parisians: they're rude (particularly towards Americans) and they're smelly. I shall respond to both.
Honestly, I did not notice any exceptional rudeness from Parisians. I actually observed unusual politeness towards each other, and everyone was nice to me--and I ventured out of touristy areas quite a bit. Maybe I was lucky, maybe ...

... is a very grand and beautiful cathedral. A very popular attraction. Next we walked to the Pantheon and the Jardin du Luxembourg. We headed back to Montmartre for dinner and then ventured up the hill to see Sacre Coeur at night. This morning I did my tea and French cartoon thing after DH left for the conference. I then went on a mad search for a crepe. It just sounded so good. ... laid on bed sans sweaty clothes and drank a $3 Organgina from the mini fridge. Last night I wandered around, had dinner at a lil cafe (lentil soup and foie gras) and slept with the windows open. Yes, this has worked out for the best. Today I have already found an internet cafe (a hagen-daz shop, but very fancy) and a laundrymat. Next I shop for some essentials as I am the only person in Paris wearing a fleece and running shoes. Dork alert. Au reviour

... I ended up at the Arc de Triomphe for some more photos. I wanted to head towards the Eiffel Tower and ended up on a street that had all the big expensive stores on it like Chanel, Gucci, Jimmy Choos, etc. I was too scared to go in because I was in a t-shirt and gym shoes, but the window shopping was superb. ... Short-legged-fat dog and Howling dog. Now these aren't ordinary dogs, sure they have tags but they don't have a home, unless you consider a whole city your home I guess (the story is back when the Olympics were coming to Athens, the government captured all the stray dogs and cats and gave them all their vaccinations and put tags on them to show visitors that the animals were not a health risk).
