    ... a few pics using the tablet and pics are much lower resolution so am hopeful that will solve problem. Technology!!!
    So back to business. A slow start to the day and we eventually got going and found the Montparnasse Tower which is only about 300 metres from Hotel. Amazing views from the top and helped us get our bearings. it's May Day today so all the retail outlets ...

    ... s 'Starry Night' (an absolute favourite!), Manet's 'Le Dejeuner sur l'Herbe' (very controversial in its day), Monet's 'Blue Waterlilies' (yes, more waterlilies), Degas' 'Statues of Dancers' and 'The Ballet Rehearsal', Renoir's 'Dancing at the Moulin de la Galette' and some Toulouse Lautrec' (unfortunately not many were there - but I did get to see the exhibition in Canberra so can't complain). All in all an interesting museum and a nice finale to our Paris ...

    ... hour late!

    When they arrived, we queued for two hours, and that was only the stairs queue. Finally we made it to the front, ran up the stairs to the second floor quickly took photos and ran down again in less than half an hour, as the metro closes quite early here. We still got the chance to see the tower in daylight and lit up at night, though, which was fantastic! It was about 11:30 PM before we made it back to the hotel so we went straight to bed after a great day.

    Well there is no show without punch, and apparently I cannot arrive in Paris without drama. After a series of very long flights, Ethihad have kindly misplaced my luggage! Im beginning to think Paris really doesn't like me.

    The flights were pretty good. Flew Virgin to Perth, had two spare seats beside me, normally I'd think great, stretch out and get some shut eye....that doesn't really work when one is at the very beginning of an adventure. ...
