Nemours Paris

... next trip to Paris versus choosing somewhere else to visit. We'll see.

I'm glad we were able to share our vacation with everyone. It was fun writing these blogs each day as a way of communicating with our families, but really as a way of reliving our experiences each day. We enjoyed the blog almost as much as we enjoyed the trip itself.

But really there´s no disputing that Paris is filled with treasures to see and take pictures of. Though it is definitely on the expensive side. It is for this reason that though I would love to stay..two days will have to cut it for my pocket..but its an amazing experience here!

... to our Metro stop we found a little grocery store that was still open and got some provisions, such as snacks and wine. We stayed up for awhile hanging out and talking. We made our plans for the next day and hit the sack around midnight. On Sunday we all went our separate ways. Susanne had never been to the Louvre or Orsay, so both the SuSZannes were going to check out those art museums. Side note, the first Sunday of the month ...

... chemin pour regarder les chars qui tournent dans le cercle à 10 autos de largeur. Avec ça, des motos qui ziguezague là-dedans. Je me dis: "Il va bin y avoir un accident bientôt." Mais non! ... I started at the bottom and never made it to the paintings, just artifact upon artifact and I was in there for something like 4 hours and I was going as fast as possible...crazy. Paris is HUGE and I didn't realize just how huge it was until I flew over it on the way home. I must have flown over Paris and its outer lying areas for about 10 minutes. That's a lot of city.

... I think a few of them were French because of the way they carried themselves. Anyhow, it certainly got me in the mood for all things "french." Upon arrival in Paris, the weather was excellent--I kept worrying that I was too dressed down (t-shirt, cargo shorts, tennis) but I felt great. The weather has been very nice. It can get a bit warm during the day, with all the walking, but at night, it cools down. It ...

... Angela graciously gave us a ride home...and even though I've been up over 24 hours, I'm not that sleepy. It was an awesome trip and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to experience everything described in the previous travel logs. I am, however, glad to be home(although I'm already thinking about our next great adventure!) Until next time...

... The Tour Eiffel beckoned wetly in the distance with its head in the clouds, but we were all tired and decided to attempt the return to the Bastille by Metro.
The Parisian Metro, unlike the London Underground, has no barriers for letting large items like bicycles or buggies through. This means, in effect, that you have to give your active toddler to a complete stranger whilst you try to lift your folded buggy over the barrier. Believe ...
