Wow, hard to believe we've been away for early 5 weeks. The last part of our trip still to go - 4 days in Nice. Plenty of time to see some sites and do some last minute shopping. We were staying to watch the International Fireworks Festival in Monaco. They have a competition throughout July – August and then the winner does the fireworks the night before their National Holiday. I think tonight was the first competitor. It was the Polish team. ... for a dip and the water is truly awesome. See photos for proof that I actually went into the sea! It's so relaxing and beautiful it is hard to drag ourselves off the beach to get ready for a night out on the town. But we do. We find a charming little French bistro amongst all the tourist traps and have a great meal. The staff is so charming and nice. We then hit a club to check out the scene and the casino where we do NOT gamble but enjoy the ...

... main thoroughfare so that we could get closer to the main shopping district and to the old town. We gave the students about an hour's worth of free time so that they could hit some of the stores. Lopuck, Anthony, and I walked down the street and popped in to a few stores. We looked at shoes at "Hype" - mostly for Lopuck - and then ran into Lizanne and Deb. They wanted to grab ice cream somewhere so we went inside the tent covered portion of a small Haagen Das cafe. I had ...
