    ... artwork dating back to the 1400s. It has the grave of Titian who died in the Great Plague but was allowed to be buried in the church he had adopted as his own. His tomb has a marble sculpture of his famous Assumption painting over it.     ... and the view was awesome since it was near sunset. At night time/sunset, we walked up the most prominent bridge, the Rialto Bridge, where we got to see the changing sky colours and pretty colourful buildings by the waters, all in a glance. Just beauty. (: The seagulls flying all around just enhances the beauty of Venice and reminds me how carefree life could actually be. I'll definitely still come back if I have another chance in the future ...

    ... at this hotel would be that it is so in the middle of the tourist attractions that absolutely everything is expensive. I learned very quickly that I cannot stomach the water and it is hard to stomach the amount we spent on liquids the first few days until we stumbled upon a supermarket. The lesson to learn here is to find a supermarket right away and stock up on water/soda/juices and anything else like that that you may need.

    ... on the banks, another factor making it expensive to live in Venice. If you look at the bottom of the homes, usually near the front door, you will see these pumps which are very much in action when the floods happen. Firstly, we walked along the canal and into the Jewish ghetto. In the old part you see a beautiful synagogue.     ... boarded a bus headed towards somewhere in France... But no, we arrived at terminal one, which was far more impressive--and modern--than terminal two. We located the train station, and then it was just a matter of finding J, which didn't take too long.
