There is more chanting and incensing in the confined space and after the leaders go upstairs, everyone files into an even lower ceiling area and come back out and head home.     ... and is pretty expensive. You have to be very careful keeping track of where you are as it's easy to get lost in the maze of alleyways. It's also very hard to find our hotel, and you almost need to drop bread crumbs along the way, except I'm sure the pigeons would eat them. Luckily my watch had the location pegged within 1 meter, although it is currently telling me we are 22 meters below sea level - so I'll have to calibrate ...

    ... visitors! NO cars anywhere. We found a gelato shop. Next, we went into St. Mark's Basilica. Very unique and beautiful, sometimes called, the Golden Basilica. Byzantine art is pretty awesome. Tile Floors were all different patterns that looked 3D. Marble walls looked like wallpaper because of the patterns. Such craftsmanship! Murals were all shimmering gold. Unfortunately, no photographs allowed. FYI, (because I was curious) they have emergency vehicle boats and use septic tanks. ...

    ... dominates this space and is probably the most beautiful cathedral that we have seen yet (and we have seen a LOT of cathedrals). These Italians sure do know their religious buildings.
    Continuing further, we reached the edge of the city and enjoyed some glorious views over the bay leading to the Mediterranean Sea. A couple were even having their wedding pictures taken on the edge of the jetty. Aww.
