    ... the experience was one of reflection. With only glimpses of what was behind the barrier walls, all of the focus was turned inward to give the space true meaning and importance to the visitor.     ... My parents have sailed out of Venice and mentioned how spectacular it was, I can now understand why. I'll have to add that to my bucketlist.

    But as we reached the end of the line, it was time for us to say goodbye to Venice, not before picking up a Venetian mask as a souvenir. (We managed to catch a glimpse of a women making the traditional paper mache masks through the window. Such talent.)

    What a perfect spontaneous weekend.
