    ... The 6.45 mass started early. We got there on time to find we had missed the readings, homily and collection. We had walked in late to high mass celebrated by the Cardinal. After the final blessing, the Cardinal says something and all I could understand was crypt. The priests and Cardinal are preceded by four Russian Orthodox looking monks chanting.     ... station, we caught a water taxi to our hotel. It's tucked away in a very hard to find spot in a tiny alley away from the crowds. Claudia, the receptionist, was very helpful at getting us set up in our room and advising us about places to eat. We had eaten on the train, so we just wandered around the alleyways and bridges looking at people and shops for a couple of hours, and then made our way back to the hotel. Venice is crawling ...

    ... 8364;20) from dock to town. There are the cutest little pedestrian bridges everywhere. We found gondolas a little further down the way it was only €80 for all five of us. I can't find the right words to explain the joy I felt while on this ride. NEVER did I envision myself going through the canals of Venice in a gondola, NEVER.
