    ... The name of the hotel was Hotel Ai Do Mori and they were very proficient in English, fantastic to email with and were only 85 euros per night (they also has free wifi and air conditioning).

People had this knowledge all those years ago and it's still in practice today although most buildings are built with the capacity to withstand the slides these days, don't ask me how!!
