Sweating one out at 8am when we woke in 29* heat, with Andy clambering out of bed to get the air con on. Being ideally positioned by the facilities block we took it in turns to go shower and freshen up for our next part of the journey. Agreeing on NO no.2's in the camper, these have to be saved until sufficient facilities can be utilised, so we had the best spot on camp for that purpose alone which was a blessing in itself. We found our way back to the hire car place in Nashville a little earlier than we expected. No dramas with the final inspection of the car - was a very nice car, could do with one - GMC Terrain.
We got a taxi over to our hotel near the airport. Well this was an adventure in itself. The taxi arrived and there was a dark older man driver who had the strongest Nashville accent. His cab was very clean and tidy but quite old. ...
We had arranged to catch up with two couples in Toowoomba, Queensland who we had spent some time with a couple of years ago whilst on our travels.
One couple, Sue and Geoff had offered their residence as a base for us to park our caravan. Unfortunately the day prior to our planned arrival Geoff suffered a health problem resulting in a change of strategies.
