group made it to the top and I got half way which l was happy with (it was
bloody steep). The views were amazing.
The following day l went on a glacier walk which involved actually
walking on Root Glacier, we got to see warterfall’s, crevasses and moulin’s and
got to fill our water bottles with fresh cold water running off the glacier.
After McCarthy we headed to Denali National Park and it was

... I didn't expect to see much but the fishermen were there wading out through the silt flats into the river. There were dozens of them, if not 100+ all lined up along the river on both sides. They fish without bait and continually flick the weighted hook out and drag it back in trying to 'snag' the salmon swimming along the bottom. I saw plenty of fish caught, some as big as 6-8lb maybe even 10lb.
Thursday 17/6 - Flying to LA today
... The bonus, particularly for Daisy was they had a dog sled team and you go for a short ride and meet the dogs for $10. At least this was cheaper than the cruise ship option we have seen. Then we had the opportunity to hold one of the cute 3 week puppies they had as well. All up, a very worthwhile museum to visit in Anchorage.
