I spent almost a week in Negril, a long stretch of beaches along the western tip of Jamaica. Very popular with tourists. I walked the beach several times and I've been annoyed by the "farmers" and the like on a regular basis. They are sometimes aggressive. Better to walk along the road than the beach at night to/from the restaurant for obvious reasons. Nice sunsets.

... it so much fun, he seemed to have a hilarious personal story attached to everything on the island. ... cartwheels, playing football, and trying to catch fish. The ballfield is build next to a gully (river/sewer); due to all of the excessive rain in the past few months the gully is teaming with 'life' (tadpoles, mutant fish, and dragonflies). The kids are obsessed with the water, and love finding old tires to throw into the gully. No matter how many times I yell at them they are drawn to the water ...
