      ... me by at several different times, I would have been happy to pay more than the 5 euros they charge for a ride!!! But none did and so I was forced to continue to the absolute bottom where my husband stepped out onto the path and snapped a photo of me! the traitor!       ... have to hang onto the smallest little handle at the front of the saddle, so you literally have no control over the donkey. After the donkey ride we got on the tender and it took our driver like 15 minutes to line it up properly with the ship which was so annoying because we were all so hungry and the boat was rocking a lot because the water was choppy.       ... Fira is perched atop the cliff & since we ended our tour there, we had to take a cable car down to the water to catch the tender back to the ship. It was either that or ride a mule & we heard you smell like the mule if you ride it. Also, needed some beer so bought some great beer called Volcano, only made on Santorini. We invited Oran and Elena Adams to join us for supper having met them on our trip to Herculiano.
