... Dream box, which was essentially a Karaoke place, where you had your own private room for three hours, food and drink and loads of songs to choose from, all for 3 pounds each. Being able to scream out all our favourite tunes in our own room was brilliant, and we ended up going back another time for an evening session. Our throats burnt out and our bodies well rested, we got our things ready for our coach trip down to Singapore.

On the crunch search we found a water machine just around the corner! Yes! Cheap water! It really can reduce your daily costs. Unfortunately the water tasted a little like chlorine, which eventually put me off drinking it.

Sunny's Inn showed a free film every night at roughly 10pm and that night's showing was 'Wanted'. Melaka, Melaka State, Malaysia javiole2... that was mentioned, I'm talking about slitting your bottom lip and inserting a bigger and bigger wooden disk until it protrudes by many inches. I'm also talking about teeth filing and extracting so people didn't resemble animals, scarification, the long necked women of both Africa and Asia, feet binding in China and head deformation to name a few. My teeth wee killing me by the time I'd read all about the ...
Malacca City, Melaka State, Malaysia mbrouns... to haul off a load of treasure to Europe. Near Ringo's Foyer, there was an important Chinese temple called Chang Hoon Tang temple, which dated back to 1646. It is Malaysia's oldest Chinese temple, but was in immaculate shape. There were many Chinese people praying at the facility, but we were still allowed to explore inside and take pictures free of charge. There were people getting their fortune told by shaking a stick out of a pile in a cup with a ...
Melaka, Melaka State, Malaysia aaronpolarbear... original buildings still exist. During the cruise, we were also able to see the typical Malaysian houses which are built on stilts to allow more air flow, protect against flooding, and to allow extra room (some even had easy chairs underneath there). The Malaysian government is actually paying for the renovations to the houses along the river. They have already started on a few buildings and they look great. Not only are they paying for the repairs but homeowners will also get a monthly ...
Melaka, Melaka State, Malaysia sarah11011... Take a look at the photos. Walking around the town was like being in a history lesson. Loads of old style buildings from the various era's - really interesting and sweet place. One of the best things was that along any one road you might see a Church, a Hindu temple and a Chinese temple all near by each other ...and without any of the usual **** that goes along with this!
Melaka, Malaysia jimandmargarida... a small problem when the sate boiled over! The Indian food was again great, huge portions for a dollar or two. The accommodation in Malaysia has been much more expensive but transport and food are stupidly cheap, good job as our budget is pretty tight after no work for 8 months! Now a break from the heat, we're heading to the Cameron Highlands for a spot of tea and a scone or two!
Melaka, Malaysia sergeandclare... we kept on half tripping up. We soon starting looking at our feet a bit more. Secondly, there aren't that many traffic lights or pedestrian crossings (and where there are, the drivers tend to ignore them if a pedestrian isn't actually on the road itself, which means you have to hope that the traffic will see you when you finally pluck up enough courage to step out into the road). Thirdly, and finally, cars are constantly weaving between lanes to try and get to their destination as ...
