We stayed two nights and had a wonderful stay. The Nayara suite had wooden floors, canopy beds, marble bathroom and secluded private garden with magnificent view of Volcan Arenal. Staff were great and the food delightful, especially the banana flambé courtesy of Juan Carlos, known to everyone as JC. He made our visit! Highly recommended.

Boy, was this luxurious! Our room was sort of hexagonol and absolutely vast with a wonderful balcony overlooking the volcano (unfortunately, it was shrouded in mist!) and with a hot tub. The restaurant was excellent, as was the food, and there are lots of places in the beautiful gardens to sit and relax. The resident, free-ranging parrots were very entertaining too!

I would definitely recommend staying here. the grounds are beautiful and well kept. our room was so luxurious with a hot tub on the balcony, two person shower indoors AND out doors, and a hammock to lay back and relax in. the people working here are really helpful as well. they took care of all our needs. they booked excursions, transportation, and spa services... anything we we wanted. they also have a few laptops set up in the lobby with internet which was also a great plus.

Tico". Some in the crowd had whistles, many in Tico red, all incredibly excited to cheer on their team. And they won!!! We have some amazing video footage of this abuelo next to us embracing Paul and dancing around an upended chair in jubilation over the third goal. We may ...

... one. Whatever the snack name was, we both enjoyed it a lot.

After eating our snack, we decided to head across the road to a little coop. We didn't by anything here but I talked to a sweet dog whom I name "Corky".

After shopping, we got back in the SUV and directly back to our cottage. This time we did not make any more pit stops along the way.

Let's just say.. the roads are quite steep.. so it feels like you are on a roller coaster. ...

... in the rainforest canopy. Sadly it was a bit similar to our walk the day before, just with more bridges and a bigger entrance fee! We did see an armadillo though! I think both of us can say by the end of this part of our trip we have seen plenty enough jungle/rainforest for a while, as most of panama and costa rica are covered in it!

... La Fortuna was not effected.
When we had hiked for a little while, we stopped at a volcano field from 1992, where we had a beautiful view of a man made lake, and the volcano.
That night, we had sushi again. There is a total of 7 pools here. There is a swimming pool, a large hot pool with a sushi bar, and smaller hot pools through out. All the water comes from the volcano, which creates natural hot springs.

    Bye for now, Asha
