We stayed two nights and had a wonderful stay. The Nayara suite had wooden floors, canopy beds, marble bathroom and secluded private garden with magnificent view of Volcan Arenal. Staff were great and the food delightful, especially the banana flambé courtesy of Juan Carlos, known to everyone as JC. He made our visit! Highly recommended.

Boy, was this luxurious! Our room was sort of hexagonol and absolutely vast with a wonderful balcony overlooking the volcano (unfortunately, it was shrouded in mist!) and with a hot tub. The restaurant was excellent, as was the food, and there are lots of places in the beautiful gardens to sit and relax. The resident, free-ranging parrots were very entertaining too!

I would definitely recommend staying here. the grounds are beautiful and well kept. our room was so luxurious with a hot tub on the balcony, two person shower indoors AND out doors, and a hammock to lay back and relax in. the people working here are really helpful as well. they took care of all our needs. they booked excursions, transportation, and spa services... anything we we wanted. they also have a few laptops set up in the lobby with internet which was also a great plus.

Today, we went to 100% Aventura Tours in Monteverde. It was simply amazing. If you get a chance to zip lining in Costa Rica - Do It!!!

My tour started at 11 am. Most of the people that took part in the same tour as me arrived by bus from different hotels.

As I was waiting for my tour to begin, I little kitty cat came up to Joanne and myself. The cat was so cute... awe.. :)

After a safety course, we were on our way up the big hill.

I was less nervous to start school today than I was last week. I got my class started and was joined by a girl from New York named Lily….Lily has already taken 7 years of Spanish. We are in about the same place grammatically, but she kills me vocabulary wise. I enjoyed my first day, met some new friends, got to know my new teachers…but that's not all.

One a spontaneous decision during lunch, I decided to go zip ...

... The friendly young men then drove us back to the base and fed us a hearty lunch of beans, rice and chicken.

Really happy I decided to participate in this adventure with my hubby and kids. I have to admit the night before I was having second thoughts!

Thankfully we were off to the hot springs that evening as i think we all had some tense muscle in need of loosening :)

    All the best!
