On the ship until 2.30 when we left by tender for the short service to Mykonos, one of Greece's most popular tourist islands. Here we wandered for an hour with Cindy & Mike before grabbing a well deserved beer in a cafe overlooking the famous windmills, formerly used to grind the island’s grain. The houses are all white washed pretty regularly & the streets, ...

... stand on a hill overlooking the area. Most windmills face towards the North where the island's climate sources its strongest winds over the largest part of the year. There are currently 16 windmills on Mykonos of which seven are positioned on the famous landmark hill in Chora. Most of them were built by the Venetians in the 16th century, but construction continued into the early 20th century. They were primarily used to mill wheat. ...

... Alan & I were looking forward to swopping stamps on our balcony during the holiday. I am at a loss to think what else I can do to spend the time. Jean suggests strapping her to the bed and making mad passionate love to her. I said I would think about it. That may explain why I am not sleeping well, I am thinking about it too much!

Later we have a look at Nikos rooms next door but one, to Liana`s. We dine there sometimes ...

... but ours which we had been told a week ago was changed from 11:35 to 11:55 had changed again to 12:45. In fact by the time we actually left it was 13:25, so it was quite annoying as it meant we had wasted a lot of time and would have less time in Mykonos.

At least the ride was nice and smooth, although Daisy said she was still starting to feel a bit sea-sick. We really are not sailors! Got to Mykonos at ...
