... of the old city, which at various times was occupied at first by the Lycians around 2000-3000 BC and thereafter by Greeks, Romans, etc. Lunch beckoned by the river, and after that a visit to crab fisherman (turtles eat the crabs too), turtle beach again, and then back to our boat. We spent several days at anchor in the Gocek Bay area, sometimes known as the Bay of 12 Islands. There are many bays here and you could ...

There are no cars/motorbikes just people on foot. Beautiful medieval buildings and streets. Full of Europeans. Zero ***** given. I love these people. Lots of walking, exploring, taking photos and drinking summer drinks. Amy, tom & Asher will arrive later ...

... attached to one side. The pebble work on the outdoor courtyards was very pretty, and generally the place had a nice peaceful tranquil feel to it. Found a backstreet restaurant for lunch. Away from the dreadful hawkers and their 2 litre glass boots of beer. Then we meandered back on board and had a nice swim and spa at the back pool. My god I even felt cold for once. Another buffet at the back of the boat which wasn't as nice as last time. Then off to the karaoke which was a dead ...

July 17, 2015 Turunc to Dalyan

Frustration and a definite tinge of sadness sum up the first part of the day. The frustration revolved around poor internet connections when we had some business matters which needed attention. The sadness was because we were sitting inside whilst the family enjoyed the pool during our last few precious hours at the Loryma. We were also very sad, to say our goodbyes to Paul, Fiona, Calum and Euan. It was ...
