    Jacqueline at the Theatre. We all had a drink prior to the show. We took our

    ... discovered to our astonishment that a block to the right from here is 'party central' in Santiago. Thousands of young people out for the Friday night hustle. Fell asleep to the sounds of drums playing in this party zone down the road. Here in Santiago, we are thirteen hours behind Brissie time so we calculate we've been awake over thirty hours. Huge day. Yet the trick is to fall asleep now - the jet lag means we're wide awake. ...

    ... in the park and walking and cycling on the paths alongside Moreton Bay. We did manage to fit in quite a few cycle rides though - the weather was good and the cycle paths excellent.

    David managed to break a tooth so visited the local dentist. He was quite impressed with them and they quoted him $400 less for a crown than he had been quoted in Canberra. He is thinking of planning a few trips up here around his dental requirements!

    ... or other such attitudes that could have interfered with our enjoyment of experiencing the differences of the peoples and places that we visited. In fact, if we were not there to experience things as they are, including the differences, ‘what were we there for’? Even if it did mean using squat toilets which might not have been cleaned for days! Makes you really appreciate what we have here, in what has to be best country in the world!
