Provided the well drilled Swork team continues their well-disciplined game plan, one would think that the overall winner has already been decided on this Beast of a climb - the Col du Tormalet.
... with him and the encouragement from the rest of the TT gang in the last kms he made the climb. With a fast descent back to Luz St. Savour for lunch, we headed home for our customary dunk in the local creek to chill the sore legs....then up to the local to re hydrate and watch the last hour of the tour......and of course another magic meal from Chef Stephane..... With the Grand Tormelet tomorrow and over 100 kms.......the climbs continue! ...
... finally feeling relived his bike is on its way has stated he is ready!
Paul had his first real hit out for some time on the bike yesterday and was first to christen the recovery creek at the back of our hotel for his weary knee....trusting the knee shapes up for the big tasks ahead,

The day started perfectly with cool clear weather and breakfast out by the river and a walk round the caravan park on the river bank. The drive to the south past 5th century ruins and steep farming land, was spectacular and then we stopped for coffee in Cordes, a world heritage listed hilltop town of about the 12th C before the unification of France.
