Exhausted I spent a little time in the Crypt, a church containing a relic (bone fragments) of ...

I discovered an America that millions of people scarcely know exists. I made a friend. Local markets - cycling - Claire's birthday

Today is Claire's birthday and she got a very nice new mountain bike. As is becoming traditional we went to the markets and planned a big meal which I would cook for Claire's birthday. The local markets in Bagneres de Bigorre are a wonderful experience and have become part of my every visit to this lovely Pyrenean town. Fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh fish and cured ham legs from the Basque region. The hustle and bustle of local market traders and their energy cannot be beaten. ...
