Deja, deja, Lietuvos rinktine gavo i kaulus pasaulio senjoru cempionato ketvirtfinaly (www.cyberdunk.com ). Deja, deja, nepagelbejo nei kolektyvinis darbas planuojant strategijas, nei geriausiu zaideju sukvietimas i rinktine, nei aukstesnis uz priesininkus reitingas... Gavom i kaulus, ne pozornai, bet gavom...

Klaipeda, Lithuania friederbi... town there were no tourists, no people as it was off season. We felt like we had whole town only for us...and the beaches!
There are also interesting places to see nearby, including some of the highest sand dunes in Europe, fisherman's ethnographic museum, gallery-museum of amber, neo-Gothic church (built in 1888).

Nida, Lithuania ulkaIt took just over 3 hours to drive from Vilnius to Klaipeda with very light traffic. The drive is a little boring, but comfortable. The Magnisima Hotel is in the new (er) part of town within walking distance from the old town and with a secure parking lot in the rear. The room (#7) is very spacious and tastefully furnished. The street misses a couple of light poles, so gets a ...
Klaipeda, Lithuania jphil8871... celebrations are being held. It is hard to find. I and many others go down some dead ends before finding the path. It is packed with thousands of people. A naval ship is decked out. Huge monitors show the performers who sing, dance and talk. The culmination is the national anthem, supposedly synced with spots all over the world. Very cool to participate in something so monumental for the Lithuanian people.
Palanga, Lithuania will.traveller... that changed all that. Until 1923, Klaipeda was a pretty thoroughly German city, having been founded by the Teutonic Knights in the 13th century. Known as Memel for most of its history, it wasn't until the newly reborn Lithuania pulled a land-grab in the early 20s that it changed hands. The Nazis swiped it back in 1939, only to see it pummeled to bits when the Soviets rolled through in 1944. Since most of the architectural heritage was German, the post-war ...
Klaipeda, Lithuania xerius... might be some cruel animal show from a former USSR country where the animals are inhumanely forced to perform. But the 40 minute dolphin and sea-lion show was very enjoyable, especially the sea-lions doing their X-factor style singing, plus the animals looked healthy in their reasonably large water tank. Another thing that made me laugh is they expected you to ...
Klaipeda, Lithuania sd0744... beach. We were suppose to go to the mall but we thought the beach sounded better. The beach was located on the spit so we had to take the ferry there and then walk through a forest to get to the water. It was so cold but considering that we have been sweating like pigs and ruining all of our clothes it was refreshing. After a while at the beach we walked back into town and picked up pizza or pica at a local shop and then ate it at the dorm before hitting the books(still ...
Klaipeda, Lithuania jcarlso2... of everything nice had been destroyed. Was pleasantly surprised with how nice the town was and how comfortable I felt walking around everywhere (again, I had been warned). Found my way to the ferry terminal and froze a little waiting for the ferry to take us across to Smiltynes. Once on the other side I had quite a bit of time to kill until the next bus to Nida. I went to the pub and had some lunch (I am guessing everyone has figured out by now ...
