More winding ups and downs sweeping bends and tight switchbacks. It was a road quite popular for riders as they were everywhere. All of a sudden I started getting a feeling I was heading the wrong way.. Maybe it was Michael looking out for me. So I stopped in a rest area and got out the maps..... ...

So we sadly left our beloved Byron Bay and took a bus up to Mooloolaba, just under 2 hours north of Brisbane. Our friend Sam, who we had worked with back home as nurses, now lives in near Mooloolaba with her Aussie boyfriend. She graciously offered her place as she had bunkbeds in her spare bedroom and we even had our very own bathroom...and towels. It was magical.

The first night we spent by the beach catching up over yummy smoothies and had ...
