Ten years later we have made it back to Sydney, Australia! After a great flight over from Auckland we were greeted by a nasty thunder storm as temperatures before we arrived were 36 degrees. ... on board how smart we were to have had our luggage checked through to Auckland. It meant we didn't have to clear Australian customs, and got to go directly through to the transit lounge to catch our Auckland flight. Good thing because what was a leisurely connection when we booked had turned tight. It was all working out well until we saw we had to go through security again. And it was s-l-o-w. But in the end we got checked in and on to the next flight.
