Rain, rain and more rain

We arrived in the blistering heat yeasterday at about 7.30pm and it was was 34 degress. We struggled up a steep incline with our back packs and made it to our interesting looking hostel.

This morning we have woken up to find the whole city is tipping it down!! We\ll have to find something indoorsy to do today (and perhaps tmw judging by the weather forecast) and fingers crossed we can continue to top up our tans on our next stop

Of the three Baltic capitals we spent the least amount of time in Vilnius. This was partly because we hadn't had as many recommendations as the other two cities, and partly because we decided as we travelled through this section that we wanted to spend more time in Poland than we had originally planned. ... were lots of places to get a bight but we shoped around a bit until we found a local looking place with a extrodenaraly cheep menu. Had a fantastic soup of the day followed by a Arminian stile main and a cocktail as well as a bottle of sweet whine. The hole thing must have come to about £9 each. Extrodenar. Feeling a lot better we spent the rest of the evening once and for all sorting out weather or not we have free will. ...

... hills that were used in pre-medieval times as fortresses. Nothing remained to be seen really, so it was a bit hard to get the feel of the place, especially since we were carrying our packs up and down the hills!

After a couple of hours we walked back towards where the bus had dropped us off. No sign of any bus or for that matter ANY traffic. We had great difficulty finding anyone who spoke English. We tried all passersby (there weren't many!) ...

... the way back to the hostel, I get hijacked by a stag party fisherman who is sentenced to taking photos with girls.
I am really tired and sleep for 2-3 hours. At night I go out to bar Artistai with Jon to meet some people from the tour. We don't find them there but get good entertainment from watching a group of young Lithuanians and Germans perform songs on stage. Jon is a bit disturbed by their free-style interpretation of Mika.
