We have just come back from a lovely trip up to Lake Konigssee, and a boat trip down the lake to St Bartholoma. The lake is nestled between the mountains, and is 602m above sea level with an average depth of 150m. It is the cleanest lake in Germany, with the water being pure enough to be classified ...

On the way down I had more time to look about but the light level is low so you can't see the whole place all at once. By the time we got to the exit, an hour and half later, we were both cold, ...

We left Castelrotto in cloud and mist but decided to cut across country and through the mountains to Austria rather than go on the autobahn. It was great shame it was so cloudy. On a sunny day it would have been a jaw dropping drive. As it was it was amazing with mountains covered with snow and great views. Since it was drizzling and hovering above zero we did not ...
